miley's auction for haiti

I give her a lot of grief, but this seems to be a good idea on the part of miley cyrus (or whoever, miley's the one promoting it). she and some other celebrities are going to auction some things off and give the proceeds to diaster relief in haiti.

i'm not sure exactly what they're auctioning, but surely some celebrity-owned items will be on the list for people who are into that.

who knows, maybe miley will auction off some of her clothes even... so next time you're at the mall, keep your eyes peeled for a girl shopping in one of miley's castoff dresses.

it is heartening to see celebrities actually give a damn about suffering. where was all this support when our own president turned a blind eye to new orleans?
something to consider: obama did more to help foreign nationals than bush did to help us citizens.
someone tell me why the republican party still commands roughly half the population????????

we have an aircraft carrier there. cvn 69 or 70, i can recall which... but aircraft carriers are expensive to send. but they can do a lot to help having so many personnel. they had pictures on their site and reports about some of the people they helped.

it's cvn 70 that is there.

britney has donated a dress. naomi campbell organized a fashion show... designers donated clothes and there were modeled by celebrities. sean penn took a mother and son to the hospital and then back to his house for a while because their house was collapsed. harrison ford has been there... a lot of people are doing things. so that's good...

one good things about all the naval vessels that are there, all of those people can eat and sleep on the ship. so they don't have to use any of the few resources in haiti. i'm not saying other people are, but even if they bring their own food most people can't bring something that you can live on for a year at a time.
